Flowly HR is a cloud-based Human Resources Management System (HRMS) built specifically for Ugandan businesses. Hive Technologies developed the platform from the ground up, covering the full HR lifecycle.

The Challenge

Ugandan businesses needed an affordable, locally-built HR system that understood local payroll regulations (NSSF, PAYE), mobile money payments, and the specific needs of East African workplaces — rather than expensive imported software that doesn’t fit the local context.

What We Built

• Payroll Management — Automated payroll processing with Uganda PAYE, NSSF deductions
• Leave Management — Leave application, approval workflows, and leave balances
• Attendance Tracking — Clock-in/out with biometric and manual entry options
• Performance Management — Goal setting, reviews, and performance tracking
• Employee Self-Service Portal — Employees can view payslips, apply for leave, and update details
• Multi-company Support — Single platform for managing multiple business entities

React.js frontend, Node.js backend, PostgreSQL database, hosted on cloud infrastructure.
